London Grammar are a British electronic indie pop band that have been described as “a blend of ambient, ethereal and classical sounds.” The band includes Dan Rothman on guitar, Dominic ‘Dot’ Major on keyboard/drums and Hannah Reid on vocals.
They have a very haunting feel and are sometimes compared to The xx. However, the comparison should be taken with a pinch of salt as London Grammar have their own unique sound.
Hannah Reid has powerful, evocative and emotive vocals and lyrics; often compared to Florence Welch from Florence and The Machine. Her powerful, melancholic voice naturally evokes an emotion, mood or feeling somewhere deep inside you. The rest of the band produce music with the same as Hannah’s vocals; atmospheric, melancholic and haunting.
If You Wait is their debut album and in my opinion, their best so far. When a band releases 7 singles from an album, you know it’s probably going to be a good one.

Hey Now
Hey Now is the opening track of the album and is a song that encapsulates London Grammar. The melancholy piano, the percussion and Hannah’s strong, emotional vocals.
If you like this, you’ll love the album.
Wasting My Young Years
Wasting My Young Years was the first single released from the album in June 2013.
